Born in Santa Monica California, Dan’s family moved back to Argentina when he was 11 and he hasn’t left the waters of Patagonia since then! If you are looking for a laid back and easy going and patient guide, then Dan is the guide for you. He will take the time to make sure you improve your skills on the water while enjoying a memorable day.

Despite being the youngest member of the team, Lucas has already spent several seasons guiding for Dorado in Bolivia and Argentina. Full of energy and enthusiasm, his attitude and excitement are infectious and he will share his vast knowledge as well as respect for Dorado and the other fish of the Upper Parana with you through the day. If you have never fished for Dorado before, his now famous ‘mini clinics’ on the drive from the airport or at the lodge before your trip will get you dialed in!

Gonzalo was born in Campana near Buenos Aires. His father’s work took Gonzalo all over Argentina while he was young. His introduction to fly fishing was with his father. By the time Gonzalo reached college he had decided that he really wanted to chase the real passion of his life; so he moved to San Martin to finish college. Gonzalo has now with SET Fly Fishing for over 12 years to become the head guide for North Patagonia waters. He is now actively involved on sales and marketing for the company working year around to create new opportunities to our guests.

A dorado fishing fanatic, Carlos left his engineering career to devote himself to guiding anglers from all over the world on the mystical waters of the Alto Parana. He is one of the most sought after guides in Argentina on the Parana. Mobilized by his passion he can have you fishing the best water before the sun rises!

Founder and managing partner of SET fly fishing. Gustavo developed a passion for fly fishing at an early age. After over 20 years in the fly fishing industry, that passion has not faded. Gustavo is constantly searching for new waters, working to train new guides and maintaining the highest level of satisfaction for each of his customers. His goal is to make sure each guest falls in love with Argentina and keeps returning to enjoy waht Argentina has to offer.

Born and raised locally, Mati started to explore the waters of Patagonia at an early age and was determined to make fly fishing his life. With a laid back attitude and a bag full of tricks, he will help you become a better angler while having a ton of fun. Mati especially enjoys exploring some of the smaller walk and wade creeks in the area.
