Quillen lake can produce one of the finests dry fly fishing experiences in the area. Originated by an extinct glacial, it stays clear and cold through the entire year. Along 13 miles it offers stunning views to the north face of Lanin Volcano (12,388 ft) Is the largest and less fished lake in this area and surrounded by a cold rainforest that covers the slopes of the mountains. We typically fish this lake sight casting, from powerboats, to large fish in the areas near fallen logs, rock cliffs and shoals. Rainbows and browns range in size from 15-24 inches, and brook trout range from 15-20 inches. It’s also the natural source of the Quillen River
As with the fishing in other lakes in our area, the visual aspect of this fishing is what makes it so special this fishing, and ofcourse the Dragonfly Hatch is always a highlight. This lake has a very healthy population of rainbow, brown and brook trout.
Beside all this listed waters we fish, we frequently visit many other small creeks and spring creeks tributaries of the large rivers and lakes that we want to keep under the radar!
