It’s a freestone water that starts as the natural drain of a small lake also called Rucachoroi – which means “house of parrots” to the Mapuche culture. The upper stretch runs through a millinery wood of Araucarias (Monkey Puzzle Tree), it features medium sized boulders producing a good number of riffles, short deep pools and some great pocket water. The medium stretch until its junction with the Alumine River; we encounter the same water structure, less Araucaria trees and now the presence of willow trees.
We approach the fishing mainly fishing with large dry attractors, and dry and dropper.

Beside all this listed waters we fish, we frequently visit many other small creeks and spring creeks tributaries of the large rivers and lakes that we want to keep under the radar!
