Booking Process:
- Confirm Your Trip: A 50% deposit of the total program cost secures your booking.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 90 days before your trip departure. We’ll send a friendly reminder 2 weeks beforehand.
- Late Payments: Missing the final payment deadline without notification will be considered a cancellation. In this case, all monies paid are non-refundable.
Peace of Mind:
- Travel Insurance: We highly recommend adding “Cancel For Any Reason” (CFAR) coverage to your travel insurance for maximum protection.
- Finding a Replacement: Alternatively, you can find a suitable replacement traveler to take your spot. SET Fly Fishing does not charge a fee for this.
Important Note:
- Chochoy Mallin Lodge & Golden Dorado Experience: SET’s cancellation policy does not apply to helicopter services at Chochoy Mallin Lodge or private charter flights with Golden Dorado Experience. Payments for these services are non-refundable under any cancellation circumstances.
Cancellation Policy:
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. Here’s what happens if you need to cancel your trip:- Cancellation Notice: Please notify SET Fly Fishing via email of your cancellation.
- Unused Credit: For cancellations with sufficient notice (details below), you’ll receive a credit for the remaining balance of your trip. This credit is valid for 24 months towards any SET Fly Fishing lodge or program, with no rebooking fee. You can also transfer this credit to another angler.
Cancellation Timeframes and Fees:
- 180+ Days Notice: Inform us 180 days or more in advance and we’ll work with you to reschedule your trip. A 20% cancellation fee applies.
- 120-179 Days Notice: For cancellations between 120 and 179 days prior to your trip, a 60% cancellation fee applies. We’ll still help you reschedule.
- 90-119 Days Notice: Cancellations with 90-119 days notice incur an 80% cancellation fee. Rescheduling is still possible.
- 90 Days or Less: Once your full payment is received, if you cancel within 90 days of your trip departure, a 50% cancellation fee applies. Rescheduling is still available.
- Less Than 60 Days Notice: Unfortunately, cancellations made within 60 days of your trip are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
